Overview
Ma Petite Caisse ("my little cash register") is a fun, educational app for kids, inspired by a real cash register. Children play shopkeeper while discovering the basics of counting, money and running a shop, in a modern, intuitive and safe interface.
Built with .NET MAUI, the app runs on every platform (Android, iOS, Windows, macOS), with simple, kid-friendly features such as giving change and managing products. The app itself is in French.

Ma Petite Caisse is an educational app designed to help children learn how to use a cash register in a fun way.
Designed for children
The app is designed for children and complies with regulations protecting minors' data (GDPR, COPPA).
Data collection and use
Data we do NOT collect
- ✅ No personal data: we collect NO personally identifiable information (real name, age, address, e-mail, phone number).
- ✅ No tracking: no analytics, advertising or behavioral tracking tools.
- ✅ No external communication: the app does not talk to any server and shares no data over the Internet.
- ✅ No user account: no sign-up required.
Data stored locally on your device
The app only stores game data locally on your device:
- 🛒 Pretend products: names, prices and emojis (e.g. apple 🍎, bread 🍞)
- 👤 Pretend customers: generic first names with virtual loyalty cards (e.g. Sophie, Lucas, Emma)
- 🧾 Simulated transactions: history of pretend purchases made in the game
- ⚙️ Preferences: app settings (camera, loyalty points)
Important: all of this data is pretend and educational, stored only on the device, never sent anywhere and deleted at any time by uninstalling the app.
Camera
The app may ask for camera access only to scan barcodes as part of the game. No photo is saved or shared, and the feature can be turned off in the settings. Camera access is optional: the app works perfectly without it.
Data security
- All data is stored in a local database (SQLite) on the device.
- No network connection is required or used.
- Data is deleted automatically when the app is uninstalled.
Parental guidance
We recommend that parents and guardians supervise their child's use of the app, check the device's privacy settings, turn off the camera in the app settings if they wish, and explain that the data is pretend and educational.

Deleting data
